Heidi has the expertise and 'sense of style' that helps set Sweet & Harding apart in the estate sale field in Western New York. She has been the owner of two Antique/Decorative Furniture businesses through the years. Her first shop was on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo, and until recently, she was the co-owner of 'Heidi's Madhouse' on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.
Heidi's professional experience in antiques, interior design and decoration, spans nearly 30 years, dating back to the early 1980's. She 'grew up in the business' and learned from the best … her father, the late Don Sweet, was a prominent and acclaimed Interior Designer in Western New York for many decades. Heidi assisted him, whenever antiques or decorative items were needed.
Heidi has a strong work ethic, professionalism and that 'sense of style', that allows Sweet & Harding to best represent the contents of your estate.
A native of Yorkshire, England, Ian was the founder and manager of a highly successful 'city courier service' (think local/regional 'FedEx') for over sixteen years. In fact, his company was so well managed and respected that it became the preferred delivery service for the local and regional governments.
He moved to Western New York in the late 1990's, bringing his management skills and years of experience with him. He was the founder of a successful video production company in Buffalo, which he ran along with other ventures.
Ian's experience providing daily personal care to his then ailing father-in-law, led him to become involved in a business that could really help people in such difficult times. In 2005, Ian joined together with Heidi in her business 'Heidi's Madhouse', which in turn, led to the establishment of Sweet & Harding Estate Sales and Liquidations.
