This week's sale
Saturday and Sunday, July 26th and 27th
1900 Bruce Lane, Grand Island, NY 14072 (map)
9:30am to 4:00pm
This week we have a nice estate sale in this Grand Island home.
Our client led a very interesting life and wasn't afraid of starting new adventures, no matter what time of life she was at. She took up weaving in her sixties, and became very good at every aspect of the hobby. We have a lovely spinning wheel, as well as many weavers supplies including a Louet double drum carder, Louet wool combs, vintage and newer wool carders, an umbrella swift, natural raw wool, died raw wool, and other wool related items, including yarn.
There is a mid-century Karpen sofa bed, a lovely Harverst dining table with four Ethan Allen chairs, a Hekman Woodmark down sofa, a beautiful Stickley solid cherry bedroom set, vinyl records including The Beatles, vintage toys, vintage trains, vintage clothing and linens, cameras, china, glass, contemporary studio pottery, Asian collectibles, costume jewelry, artwork, hundreds of books, lots of general household items, and so much more.
Please note: I had posted here that we have a fully functional spinning wheel at this sale. A customer has kindly directed me to a very useful resource which shows how to test a spinning wheel to be sure it is working correctly. As I haven't had chance to test the spinning wheel yet we are selling it as-is and not as fully functional. If I have time to test it and find that it is, as our client suggests, fully functional, I will post that information on our website and on our facebook page. Obviously the price will be set accordingly.

For those of you who are keen to be first in line, our sign-up sheet will be posted on the door on Friday evening at 7:00pm. If you add your name to the list please add one name per number. We call people in to the sale on Saturday morning, starting at 9:30am, from this list.
You can, of course, add your name to the list when you arrive on Saturday morning, or simply walk in once we have gone through all the names on the sign-up sheet.
Ours is the only sign-up sheet that we honor so please don't post your own list as it will be ignored.
Please note: Although we welcome your phone calls, we ask that you do not call asking for prices prior to a sale. Pricing of some items may not be finalized until the last moment and therefore any prices given prior to a sale are subject to change without notice.
Next week, August 2nd and 3rd, we have a great estate sale in Tonawanda. Full details will be posted here very soon.
Details of our upcoming sales are posted on this page. Please check back often so that you don't miss anything. Or sign up for our email updates. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep right up to date with what we're doing.
